May I interest somebody in Farscape? Anyone? Maybe? It's a great Y2K show, really. No? Okay, maybe next thread.
>>20751 You could make a threda about it and see, I myself do not know the show, so can't comment on it. Is it comfy?
>>20755 You may or more likely may not laugh, but I had it all typed out already a few weeks ago, yet discarded it. Because nobody likes Farscape. But solely due to the single reason for it being mostly unknown for any other reason then it featuring the guy and gal that later switched to that other sci-fi show, Star Turnstile or Star Drawbridge or whatever. And it's also just about as rocky in season 1 as TNG, gotta stand over such superficiality. So us countless Farscape fans are bound to a life in shadows, having to irredeemably bring it up when it isn't appropriate, like a Bernd in an X-Files thread or spending your whole life being the fat and bald running gag of an irrelevant Midwestern Youtube channel to just be able to nudge Farscape in those few and far between chances your sadistic normie bosses decide to talk about something tangentially sci-fi related. We haven't chosen this hill. But we hold it till our last breath. I still do want to finish X-Files tho and haven't spend a single effort to get it doneth.
does it have to be 90s there are shows that are kind of bad but cosy outside of that decade too
>>20751 Farscape is in my top-3 scifi shows, with the x-files and babylon 5
>>19148 Fun fact: she ate a real bug here, the disgust on mulder's face is real because it was supposed to be a candy bug
>>21055 She knew about a good protein source
>>21051 Heh, I watched that.
>>21117 The plot and dialogue was ridiculous, but somehow cosy af to watch

An episode a day keeps the demons away
Is it psychopath tier to pay 26€ for a high resolution jpeg of Gillian Anderson to use it as your wallpaper?
>>21376 No that only shows a healthy level of testosterone
>>21122 Well it's a soap opera. Sci-fi and fantasy soaps have this cringy charm. There were couple of such. Firefly perhaps quite notable. From fantasy the old Hercules/Xena or the more recent Outpost comes to mind.
>>21422 Firefly probably my favourite series of all time. It's a shame there never really was anything like that again.
>>20712 I really need more wholesome relationshipy scenes between those two, is there much of it in the second half of season 3? It’s been lacking in the season.
>>21347 >not having cherubic glyphs etched in your ribcage 90s amateurs, Y2K boys got a lot farther :3
>>21798 Tattoos are always unclean.
>>21376 Post it here so bernds can have it for free

>>22181 Spread it far and wide, Bernd.
>>22189 Are you sure it's not watermarked?
>>22369 I'm not aware of any method to check that and even if it is I doubt Alamy cares about an image of theirs being posted on obscure German imageboards.
>>22189 >he paid 26€ for it and gives it away for free Good man.

Gotta stop slacking off, I bet that other German Bernd is already done with Season 4 or something...
>>22753 Actually no! I have slowed down to about an episode a day. I want more Mulder & Scully and less (often badly thought out) mystery BS.
I recently tried X-Files after I saw the movie - I liked the light-hearted episodes. Don't like surreal or spooky stuff. I would have liked it more if it was more grounded like ... SG1 or so. I really like the team chemistry and of course, Scully. But I don't like nightmare-inducing episodes. I don't get why people like that stuff. I also always skip such episodes in Star Trek, Stargate or whatever Scifi.
>>22986 Yeah, but you were already finishing up season 3 a week ago or so. I haven't watched an episode in two weeks, still at the middle of season 3, because I share your sentiment: I need more wholesomeness and relationship scenes instead of plot.
This is my appearance when Scully shows me the cold shoulder again
My dad said I had a big crush on scully as a kid
could you make sure that every thread has at least one scully post pls
>>23446 We need a Scully themed KC banner hehe, maybe someone could edit this book cover or something
Longest hug and caresses scene so far in "Memento Mori". I think I got something in my eyes...
>>23504 And in the episode before, Scully finally gets to maybe-sleep rules of human horniness say definitely yes, their sleeping places next morning say no with a hottie of the appropriate sex like Mulder did in that maybe-vampires episode.
>>20769 I loved farscape
>>23504 Now if you were using the most superior video player, you could even make a webm of that scene and post it here!

>>23544 there ya go (Spoilers if you haven't read anything about S4) I included some of the lead-up so that it doesn't come out of nowhere, which would reduce the emotional impact. Damn, Gillian Anderson is a fantastic actress. When Duchovny had to play something similar in "The Field Where I Died", it was *bad* - though the whole episode was just one horrible mess (and even questioned his special relationship with Scully!). It's harder to fake emotions when they don't make sense.
>>23568 Complainers get punished with huge files direct from an inferior video player
>>23572 Filling up the KC server with Scully content is the best use for it anyway.
>>23572 Btw, do you already know, whether you will continue watching beyond Season 5? I'm still unsure, because other Bernds said that it turns to shit after Season 5.
>>23651 I will for sure check it out and probably continue watching. Maybe I'll skip more episodes. Teso Dos Bichos and The Field Where I Died were episodes that I would have skipped if I knew how bad they were. The problem is that I don't always agree with IMDB ratings - I kind of liked the NASA episode even though I recognized its flaws, and there were also some high ratings for The Field Where I Died. Teso Dos Bichos is often called the worst episode of all, so as a bad movie enjoyer I had to watch it. The Field Where I Died was pretty much crap in all aspects though. It contradicted itself, people acted in obviously very stupid ways, highly improbable and outright impossible things happened (Cancer man in a previous life being an adult in World War 2, come again?)...
I wish there were more close up shots of Scully only with her in the frame. In most scenes you always see body parts of other characters.
>>23789 You know my problem with this show is that it's going nowhere, there's very little character development, so I seriously question whether I should continue. The only reason I still watch it is Scully I think, but that's really not enough for such a show.
>>23789 Finished S3, lörs onions? I think this was a rather good season overall, some very good Monster of the Week episodes, it's just that they should really do more with Mulder's and Scully's chemistry and I stand by my general criticism from the other post.

I need a Scully hug as well
